About

A daily, rules‑based, two‑part TQQQ strategy: ride tech uptrends, buy sharp dips, and hedge with volatility (UVXY), inverse Nasdaq (SQQQ), or T‑bill/bond ETFs (BIL/BSV) when risk rises. Uses simple trend/“heat”/drawdown checks.
NutHow it works
It splits money across two rule‑sets and checks daily: trend (20–200‑day averages), heat (RSI = hot/cold), recent drops, and bond‑vs‑stock tone. Uptrend and not overheated → TQQQ (3x Nasdaq). Panic/oversold → brief buys in SOXL/TECL/SPXL (3x semis/tech/S&P). Trouble/downtrend → hedge with UVXY (volatility) or SQQQ (short Nasdaq), or park in BIL/BSV (T‑bills/short bonds).
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample: ~42.9% annualized return vs S&P 17.3%, Calmar 1.11, Sharpe ~0.86. Targets tech/Nasdaq uptrends with 3x exposure, hedged by UVXY/SQQQ and bonds. Higher upside but larger drawdowns (~38% vs ~19%).

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
