About
A high-risk, daily-traded strategy that usually rides leveraged Nasdaq gains in good markets, but switches into fear trades, bearish bets, rebound plays, or short-term bonds when conditions worsen.
This strategy makes one big bet at a time and checks it every day.
First it asks: is the overall U.S. stock market healthy? It uses SPY (a broad U.S. stock fund) and compares its current price to its 200-day average. If the market looks healthy, it usually buys TQQQ, a fund that aims to amplify Nasdaq gains. If stocks look too overheated, it switches to UVXY, a fund tied to market fear.
If the market looks weak, it becomes more tactical: it sometimes buys beaten-down tech or stock funds for a rebound, sometimes bets against the Nasdaq with SQQQ, sometimes buys UVXY during panic, and sometimes hides in BSV, a short-term bond fund.
Out-of-sample, regime-aware strategy: ~68.7% annualized return vs SPY ~19.5%, Calmar ~1.34, Sharpe ~1.16, alpha ~0.22. Higher volatility and larger drawdowns, but amplified Nasdaq upside.
