About

Daily regime-switcher using 3x tech/S&P funds and a volatility hedge. Owns TQQQ in uptrends, flips to UVXY when overheated. In downtrends it buys oversold pops; otherwise rotates among TQQQ, SQQQ, UVXY, or bonds. High risk/high swing.
NutHow it works
Each day it checks if the S&P 500 (SPY) is in an uptrend (price above its 200‑day average). In uptrends it holds TQQQ unless things look overheated, then it parks in UVXY. In downtrends it buys sharp oversold bounces (TECL/SPXL). Otherwise it responds to fear: hold UVXY when fear is high; if not, follow TQQQ’s 20‑day trend—above = TQQQ, below = the stronger of SQQQ or short‑term bonds (BSV). Uses 3x ETFs; very volatile.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: Sharpe 1.38 vs 1.09, Calmar 1.86, and annualized return ~95% vs ~18% for SPY. A regime-switching, tech-heavy strategy with volatility hedges aims for higher risk-adjusted upside, not just market beta.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
