About

A daily, rules-based switch among 3x tech/S&P bulls (TQQQ, TECL, SPXL), a volatility hedge (UVXY), inverse tech (SQQQ), or short-term bonds (BSV), using a long-term trend filter plus short-term “hot/cold” signals and a 20‑day trend on TQQQ.
NutHow it works
First ask: is the market in an uptrend (SPY above its 200‑day average)? If yes, hold TQQQ (3x Nasdaq) unless short‑term “heat” is extreme (high 10‑day RSI on TQQQ/SPXL), then switch to UVXY (volatility). If no, try to buy big dips (TECL or SPXL on very low RSI). Otherwise: if TQQQ is above its 20‑day average, hold TQQQ; if not, pick SQQQ (3x inverse Nasdaq) or BSV (short bonds) by which is stronger. RSI = a 0–100 heat meter.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this strategy delivered ~89% annualized return vs SPY ~18%, with Sharpe ~1.34 and Calmar ~1.75. It aims for tech-led upside while using hedges and regime rules to manage risk; note it can incur larger drawdowns during stress.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
