About
A very aggressive market-timing strategy that mainly bets on big tech, but can switch into a fear trade, a bearish Nasdaq trade, or short-term bonds based on market trend and recent momentum.
This strategy checks the market every day and puts all its money into just one holding at a time.
First it asks: is the overall U.S. stock market in a healthy long-term trend? If yes, it usually buys TQQQ, a very aggressive fund that magnifies moves in big tech stocks. If the market looks too overheated, it switches to UVXY, a fund that tends to jump when fear spikes.
If the market trend is weak, it looks for either a sharp rebound, rising fear, or further downside. In that case it may buy aggressive tech funds, bet against the Nasdaq with SQQQ, or hide in short-term bonds (BSV).
Out-of-sample, this strategy delivers superior risk-adjusted upside vs the S&P 500: annualized return ~73.6% vs 17.7%, Sharpe ~1.20 vs 1.10, Calmar ~1.44. It leans on tech leverage and volatility hedges for big gains, with higher drawdowns (~51%).
