About
A high-risk market-timing strategy that mostly rides leveraged tech in good times, steps into cash when things look overheated, and in weak markets either buys the dip, shifts to bonds, or bets against tech.
This strategy makes a daily yes/no decision tree.
1) It first asks: is the overall U.S. stock market healthy? It uses SPY (an S&P 500 fund) and compares its current price to its 200-day average. Above that line = healthy; below = weaker market.
2) In a healthy market, it usually buys TQQQ, a very aggressive fund that tries to deliver about 3x the daily move of the Nasdaq-100 (big tech/growth stocks). But if the market looks too hot—measured by RSI, a “too far, too fast” gauge—it moves to BIL, a very safe short-term Treasury fund.
3) In a weaker market, it looks for sharp selloffs that may bounce. If TQQQ or SPY looks heavily sold off, it buys TQQQ or UPRO (a 3x S&P 500 fund).
4) If there’s no bounce signal, it gets defensive: it may buy SQQQ (which rises when the Nasdaq falls), TLT (long-term U.S. Treasury bonds), or sometimes go back to TQQQ depending on which has stronger recent momentum.
Outperform the S&P with tactical leveraged tech exposure and disciplined risk controls. OOS: ~62% annualized return vs ~18% SPY; max drawdown ~51% vs ~19%; Calmar ~1.22; Sharpe ~1.08. Higher risk, higher potential reward.
