About

Daily, trend-then-momentum system centered on TQQQ. In uptrends it rides TQQQ unless overheated, then parks in BIL. In downtrends it plays rebounds (TECL/UPRO) or goes defensive (SQQQ/TLT). Uses RSI and 200/20‑day averages.
NutHow it works
Rebalanced daily. Step 1: Is SPY (S&P 500) above its 200‑day average (long‑term trend)? If yes: hold TQQQ (3x Nasdaq‑100) unless short‑term “heat” is extreme (10‑day RSI, a 0–100 up/down gauge, is high in TQQQ or SPXL); then park in BIL (T‑bills). If no: if RSI is very low, buy TECL or UPRO (3x bulls) for rebounds; otherwise choose SQQQ (3x short Nasdaq) or TLT (Treasuries) by momentum, or TQQQ. Uses BIL instead of UVXY.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: ~45% annualized return vs ~16.7% for the S&P, with Calmar ~0.90 and Sharpe ~0.88. Large upside, but drawdowns can be ~50%. Regime-based risk controls (BIL/TLT) aim to protect during declines.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
