About
Rides tech uptrends with TQQQ, steps to cash when overheated, and in downtrends either buys big dips or shifts to a hedge (SQQQ) or Treasuries (TLT). Uses simple trend (moving averages) and short-term “heat” (RSI) signals. High risk due to 3x ETFs.
Daily check of tech’s trend using TQQQ’s 50-day vs 200-day average. If uptrend: own TQQQ unless very “hot” short term, then sit in BIL (cash-like). If downtrend: try buying sharp dips (TQQQ or UPRO). If no dip, hold either SQQQ (betting against tech) or TLT (Treasuries) based on which is stronger.
RSI = a 0–100 “heat” score; high=hot, low=washed-out.
Out-of-sample upside: ~60% annualized vs ~21% for SPY, with Calmar ~1.03 and Sharpe ~1.04. It rides tech uptrends, uses heat hedges, and pivots on dips—potentially stronger gains than the S&P, but with higher drawdown risk.
