About

High‑octane, rules‑based plan: in uptrends it rides the strongest 3x U.S. stock/tech funds and keeps a ~33% short‑vol sleeve; if things get too hot it cools off in cash or volatility. In downtrends it buys deep dips or switches to hedges based on simple signals.
NutHow it works
Step 1: Trend. If the S&P 500 is above its 200‑day average (uptrend), ~2/3 goes to the two strongest 3x stock/tech funds (TQQQ=3x Nasdaq, TECL=3x tech, UPRO, UDOW, BULZ) and ~1/3 to SVXY (benefits from calm markets); if that weakens, use DBMF/BTAL. If prices look overheated, it briefly parks in T‑bills (SHV) or a volatility hedge (UVXY). If not in an uptrend, it buys 3x dips only when oversold; otherwise it flips between bullish (TQQQ/SOXL) and bearish (SQQQ/PSQ) using short‑term trend and a bond “fear” check (TLT).
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: ~35.6% annualized return vs ~20.3% for the S&P, driven by regime-based leverage in tech leaders plus hedges. Strong upside with risk controls in calm markets, but expect larger drawdowns (~50%) in crises.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
