About
A high-risk strategy that tries to turbocharge gains by owning TQQQ most of the time, then switching to bearish, volatility, or bond funds when the market looks overheated, weak, or chaotic.
This strategy is a daily rulebook built around one main idea: own TQQQ (a very aggressive fund that magnifies moves in the Nasdaq-100, which includes many big tech stocks) when conditions look favorable, but quickly switch out when the market looks dangerous.
First, it checks whether the overall US stock market is healthy by asking if SPY (a fund tracking the S&P 500) is above its 200-day average price. If yes, the strategy is mostly bullish and usually holds TQQQ.
But it does not blindly stay in TQQQ. It uses RSI, which is simply a “speedometer” for recent price moves. A very high RSI means prices have run up too far too fast and may be due for a pullback. A very low RSI means prices have dropped hard and may be due for a bounce.
In strong markets, if TQQQ or the broader market gets too overheated, the strategy may move into UVXY, a fund that tends to jump when fear and market turbulence spike. If the Nasdaq has fallen sharply, it tries to tell the difference between a real bargain and a shaky rebound. In some cases it buys TQQQ to catch a rebound; in others it buys SQQQ, which profits when the Nasdaq falls.
If the overall market is weak, the strategy becomes much more defensive. It will only buy TQQQ when the market looks heavily sold off and likely to bounce. Otherwise, it may hold UVXY, SQQQ, or TLT, a long-term Treasury bond fund often used as a safer hiding place during stock-market stress.
In plain English: this is an aggressive “ride big tech when the wind is at your back, but duck, hedge, or even bet against it when conditions look dangerous” system.
Out-of-sample edge: ~53% annualized return vs ~22% for SPY, Calmar ~1.04, Sharpe ~1.02. Higher upside in up markets with disciplined risk controls and stress hedges, aiming to outperform the S&P 500 in tested periods.
