This strategy is a fast-moving bet on big tech. It first checks whether the overall U.S. stock market is in a healthy uptrend or a weaker downtrend. Then it asks: has tech gotten too hot, too beaten down, or somewhere in between? Depending on that answer, it may buy a turbocharged Nasdaq fund, bet against the Nasdaq, hold a basket of major tech leaders like Apple, Microsoft, Nvidia, and Amazon, or temporarily hide in long-term Treasury bonds or a volatility fund.

Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
