About

Aggressive core-and-hedge system: long TQQQ in uptrends, but swaps into inverse QQQ, Treasuries, cash-like funds, or volatility trades when markets overheat or weaken. Uses trend filters and RSI “hot/cold” signals to dial risk.
NutHow it works
Core holds TQQQ (triple‑Nasdaq). If the S&P 500 (SPY) is in an uptrend (price above its 200‑day average), it stays long unless QQQ looks overheated (RSI, a 0–100 “hot/cold” score, >80) — then it hedges with PSQ (inverse QQQ). If trends weaken, it buys only deep dips or goes to cash/bonds. Separate sleeves rotate Treasuries (TMF/TMV/TLT/BND), add volatility hedges (VIXY/UVXY) when markets run too hot, or use SVXY/VTI/BTAL based on trend.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: ~49% annualized return vs ~17% for the S&P, with Sharpe ~1.17 (vs ~0.89) and Calmar ~1.78. Drawdowns can be larger (27.5% vs 18.8%), but tactical hedges aim for bigger upside with disciplined risk control.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
