About

A two-sleeve, rules-based strategy: in downtrends it tilts to commodities/defensive sectors; otherwise it tactically buys Nasdaq dips or hedges. It rapidly switches among TQQQ, SQQQ, UVXY, and TLT using “hot vs. oversold,” volatility, and trend signals.
NutHow it works
Two equal parts. 1) If the S&P 500 (SPY) is below its 200‑day average, buy 2 of PDBC (commodities), XLV (health care), XLP (staples)—the two that lagged ~1 month. If above, use a “buy‑the‑dip Nasdaq” playbook that switches among TQQQ (3x Nasdaq‑100), SQQQ (3x inverse), or TLT (long Treasuries) based on short‑term moves. 2) The other half rotates among TQQQ/SQQQ/UVXY (VIX “fear” ETF)/TLT using RSI (0–100 speedometer), 1–5 day drops, volatility, and the 20‑day trend.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: annualized return ~84% vs ~23% for SPY; Sharpe ~1.52 vs ~1.44; Calmar ~1.95. Dynamic hedges + Nasdaq-dip plays offer stronger risk-adjusted growth than the S&P 500, with larger drawdowns in downturns.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
