About

Switches between 3x Nasdaq exposure (TQQQ) and T-bills (BIL) using QQQ’s 100- and 200-day averages: full risk above 100-day, half risk above 200-day, cash below 200-day. Rebalanced daily.
NutHow it works
QQQ tracks the Nasdaq-100 (big tech). TQQQ is a 3x-leveraged version of QQQ (much more volatile). BIL holds short-term U.S. T-bills (cash-like). A moving average is the average price over the last 100 or 200 days. Each day: If QQQ > its 100-day avg → 100% TQQQ. Else if QQQ > its 200-day avg → 50% TQQQ/50% BIL. Else → 100% BIL. Rebalanced daily.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample Sharpe is positive (~0.13) vs the S&P’s negative, signaling better risk-adjusted performance in practice. A rule-based mix of leveraged Nasdaq exposure and cash targets trend-following moves, aiming to outperform the S&P 500 on risk-adjusted terms.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
