About
Aggressive, tech‑heavy, rules-based strategy that rides uptrends with 3x ETFs, buys dips, and flips to hedges/defense (cash, dollar, Treasuries, gold, or inverse/volatility ETFs) when signals turn. Very high risk; big swings possible.
First it checks if the S&P 500 is in an uptrend (price above its 200‑day average). If yes, it mostly rides turbocharged tech funds (TQQQ/TECL/SOXL), buys dips, and briefly hedges with a “fear” fund (UVXY) after sharp run‑ups. If the long‑term trend weakens or commodities lead, it shifts to defense (cash‑like T‑bills, dollar, Treasuries, gold, or bearish funds). If the market is below trend, it trades short swings between bonds, inverse QQQ, and beaten‑down tech.
Out-of-sample annualized return: ~51.3% vs SPY ~23%; aims to capture tech-led uptrends with leverage and disciplined hedges for risk-off. Potential for outsized gains, but expect large drawdowns (~59%) and higher volatility.
