About

Daily momentum portfolio that equal-weights the 9 best performers (past 20 days) among 12 US names in health-tech/biotech, AI/cyber, minerals/steel, and US manufacturing. Fast-moving and higher turnover than typical buy‑and‑hold.
NutHow it works
Each trading day, it looks at how much each of 12 US companies gained over the last 20 trading days (~1 month). It buys the 9 with the biggest gains and splits the money equally, then checks again the next day. Names span telehealth/biotech (Teladoc, Hims & Hers, Ionis), AI/cyber (Palantir, CrowdStrike), online betting (DraftKings), lithium/rare earths/steel (Albemarle, MP Materials, Steel Dynamics, Cleveland‑Cliffs), and manufacturing/retail (Proto Labs, Boot Barn).
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this daily momentum strategy targets ~28.7% annual return vs ~21.8% for the S&P, with beta ~0.92 and Calmar ~7. It offers higher upside with modest market sensitivity, but higher turnover and occasional whipsaws.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
