About

A daily, rules-based, high-risk strategy that equal-weights 5 signals to switch among 3x tech/Nasdaq (TQQQ/TECL), 3x S&P (UPRO), short Nasdaq (PSQ/QID/SQQQ), Treasuries (TLT), or VIX hedges (VIXY/UVXY) using a 200‑day trend and a 0–100 hot/cold score (RSI).
NutHow it works
Each day it runs 5 mini-models and splits money equally across their picks. First, if stocks look extremely “hot” (RSI ≈ a 0–100 hot/cold score) it buys VIX funds (VIXY/UVXY). If tech looks extremely “cold,” it buys 3x tech (TECL). Otherwise, each mini-model checks the long-term trend (200‑day avg), short-term hot/cold (RSI), and bonds vs cash strength to choose: 3x Nasdaq (TQQQ) or 3x S&P (UPRO), 1–3x short Nasdaq (PSQ/QID/SQQQ), or long Treasuries (TLT).
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this strategy targets ~30.8% annualized return with a Calmar ~0.83, delivering stronger upside and risk-adjusted efficiency vs the S&P 500. Note: larger drawdowns (~37% vs ~19%), for higher‑tolerance growth seekers.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
