About

Own each of 10 mega‑cap S&P 500 stocks only while its 50‑day average price is above its 200‑day; otherwise hold cash‑like BIL for that slice. Equal weights, checked daily.
NutHow it works
Each day the portfolio splits money evenly across 10 big S&P 500 names: Apple, Microsoft, Amazon, NVIDIA, Alphabet (both share classes), Berkshire Hathaway, Meta, Tesla, and UnitedHealth. For each: if its 50‑day average price is above its 200‑day average, we hold it. If not, that slice goes to BIL (a cash‑like fund of very short‑term U.S. Treasury bills).
CheckmarkValue prop
Defensive mega-cap trend strategy with a cash hedge. In OOS, drawdowns are milder (17.9% vs 18.8% SPY) and provide diversification, helping protect capital even when upside lags.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
