About
A fast-moving market-timing strategy that mainly trades big-tech funds, sometimes with 3x leverage, and hides in Treasury funds or a Nasdaq short fund when conditions look weak.
This strategy watches the Nasdaq-heavy QQQ as its market “thermometer.” If QQQ is above its recent trend, it may bet against a too-fast rally, buy a rebound after a big drop, or otherwise sit in very short-term Treasuries.
If QQQ is below trend, it looks for an oversold bounce in tech; otherwise it chooses the strongest of three defensive positions: betting against QQQ, short-term bonds, or long-term Treasury bonds.
Out-of-sample annualized return 38.9% vs 32.3% for the S&P, with Calmar 2.48 signaling strong risk-adjusted gains. A dynamic tech tilt with hedges aims for higher upside while managing drawdowns vs the broad market.
