About

A multi-range, no-K-1 momentum strategy that ranks asset baskets and allocates to the top group with equal cash weights, focusing on leveraged tech and Apple/Tesla proxies with a QQQ tilt.
NutHow it works
Two parallel storylines (Tim and Elon) run a broad search over many baskets of assets every evaluation period. Each basket is built with equal cash weights (every asset gets the same cash amount). For each basket, simple momentum signals are checked using RSI on reference ETFs (e.g., QQQ, SPY, BIL, IEF). If momentum signals meet certain thresholds (e.g., RSI above 80 or specific relative conditions), the basket may tilt toward levered tech bets (TECL, TQQQ) or Apple/Tesla proxies (AAPB/AAPD, TSLL/TSLS). If not, cash or more conservative exposures are favored. Each set of baskets is scored using performance metrics (cumulative return or volatility-related measures) and ranked; the top (or bottom) group is chosen, and its assets are funded with equal cash. There is a final fallback to QQQ if conditions are weak, and a separate range (the 14–35 day windows) adds diversification across horizons. The result is a tax-aware, multi-range momentum strategy with heavy emphasis on technology exposure and a cash-proxy safety net.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample annual return ~37.3% vs ~23.3% for the S&P, driven by a disciplined multi-range momentum tech tilt with levered bets and cash proxies. Tax-efficient no-K-1 design; higher upside, with manageable drawdown risk.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
