About
A tech-heavy timing strategy that rotates between QQQ, XLK, and short-term Treasuries based on market trend, recent tech selloffs, and defensive signals.
This strategy always holds just 1 fund and checks conditions every day.
It switches between:
• QQQ = big growth/tech stocks
• XLK = an even more concentrated tech fund
• SHV = very short-term Treasury bonds, used like a safe parking spot
It mainly asks 3 questions: Is the broad market trend healthy? Has tech fallen hard recently? Is the market acting defensive? If the market looks healthy, it buys QQQ. If tech looks sharply beaten down, it buys XLK for a rebound. If conditions look weak, it hides in SHV.
Out-of-sample edge: 24.48% annualized return vs SPY’s 20.25%; smaller max drawdown (16.44% vs 18.76%); Calmar ~1.49. A tech-rotation strategy that aims for stronger long-run growth while limiting downside versus the S&P 500.
