This strategy is a collection of fast-moving trading systems. It first asks: is the market calm, panicky, overheated, or beaten down? It answers that by checking short-term price strength and trend across many stock, bond, commodity, and volatility ETFs. Based on those signals, it rotates among a few aggressive themes: oil, natural gas, semiconductors, Treasury bonds, and volatility. If conditions look favorable, it may buy high-powered funds tied to those themes. If conditions look dangerous, it may switch into hedges like gold, government bonds, cash-like funds, or funds that rise when fear jumps or when oil/gas fall. It tries to reduce damage by combining several different mini-strategies that do not always move the same way.

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
