About

A regime‑switching plan: if markets are calm and bonds lead, it goes all‑in on 2× Nasdaq; if calm but bonds lag, it runs a VIX pair trade; when choppy, it either buys a Nasdaq dip or holds a defensive mix of Treasuries, stocks, gold, and staples.
NutHow it works
It rotates among four states based on market calm and trends: - Calm + bonds > cash → 100% QLD (2× Nasdaq‑100). - Calm + bonds ≤ cash → ~55% SVXY (wins if near‑term volatility stays low) + ~45% VIXM (hedge on later spikes). - Not calm + Nasdaq oversold (RSI: a sold‑off gauge; <~30) → 100% QLD. - Not calm + not oversold → equal SHY (short‑term Treasuries), SPY (US stocks), BTAL (low‑risk vs high‑risk), GLD (gold), XLP (consumer staples).
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample: higher growth potential (about 30.5% annually vs SPY’s 22.4%), driven by regime switching, Nasdaq leverage in calm markets, and volatility hedges. Bigger upside with disciplined risk; drawdowns can be larger in stress.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
