A market-timing strategy that watches volatility. In calm periods it gets aggressive with leveraged Nasdaq or volatility trades; in rough periods it either buys a tech rebound or shifts into a defensive mix.
NutHow it works
This strategy splits money into two halves and lets each half ask: “Is the market calm or stressed?” If things look calm, it gets aggressive: it may buy QLD (a fund that aims to move about 2x the Nasdaq-100) or a mix of SVXY and VIXM, which are bets on stock-market volatility. If things look stressed, it checks whether big tech looks unusually beaten down. If yes, it buys QLD for a rebound. If not, it spreads money across safer or more defensive holdings: short-term Treasuries (SHY), the S&P 500 (SPY), gold (GLD), consumer staples (XLP), and BTAL, a defensive fund that often holds up better when high-risk stocks struggle.
