About

A rules-based, all-weather portfolio. It blends crash protection, trend-following in stocks/commodities/currencies, a core gold stake, a tactical growth tilt, and a bond-timing sleeve. It can go long or short and uses some leveraged ETFs to adapt to any market.
NutHow it works
It splits your money into five roles that work in different markets: 1) Shock absorbers: volatility funds, gold, dollar, and short-term bonds that kick in when stocks fall fast. 2) Trend riders: it owns (or shorts) global stocks, commodities, and currencies that are moving steadily. 3) A core gold stake. 4) A growth tilt that joins tech/US stock uptrends but steps aside or hedges when overheated. 5) A bond sleeve that times long-term Treasuries and can flip long or short as rates change.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: higher risk-adjusted return, faster growth, and lower drawdown than SPY. Sharpe 1.89 vs 1.37; annualized return 30.1% vs 21.8%; max drawdown 13.1% vs 18.8%. All-weather, rules-based hedged strategy.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
