About
A rules-based, all-weather portfolio. It blends crash protection, trend-following in stocks/commodities/currencies, a core gold stake, a tactical growth tilt, and a bond-timing sleeve. It can go long or short and uses some leveraged ETFs to adapt to any market.
It splits your money into five roles that work in different markets:
1) Shock absorbers: volatility funds, gold, dollar, and short-term bonds that kick in when stocks fall fast.
2) Trend riders: it owns (or shorts) global stocks, commodities, and currencies that are moving steadily.
3) A core gold stake.
4) A growth tilt that joins tech/US stock uptrends but steps aside or hedges when overheated.
5) A bond sleeve that times long-term Treasuries and can flip long or short as rates change.
Out-of-sample: ~24.5% annualized return vs 21.4% for the S&P, 13.1% max drawdown (vs 18.8%), and Calmar ~1.87. Stronger risk-adjusted performance across regimes due to hedges (gold, trend, volatility) and adaptive leverage.
