About

Aggressive, trend/momentum strategy around big tech. Rides uptrends with TQQQ, flips to UVXY on extreme heat, buys oversold tech/semis bounces (TECL/SOXL), or hedges with SQQQ or short bonds (BSV) when trend is down; often keeps ~20% cash.
NutHow it works
First check trend: if TQQQ (3x Nasdaq‑100) is above its 200‑day avg, hold TQQQ—unless its 10‑day RSI (0–100 heat gauge) >79, then hold UVXY (volatility spikes). If below the 200‑day: try oversold bounces—TECL (3x tech) if TQQQ RSI <31, else SOXL (3x semis) if its RSI <30. Otherwise, when TQQQ is under its 20‑day, pick the stronger of SQQQ (3x inverse Nasdaq) or BSV (short bonds). Often keeps ~20% cash.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: Sharpe 1.63 vs 1.14 for the S&P, Calmar 2.68, and ~126% annualized upside from tactical tech bets with hedges. Higher risk-adjusted upside vs the S&P; expect larger drawdowns in choppy markets.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
