About
An aggressive tech-focused timing strategy that swings among leveraged Nasdaq, tech, chip, volatility, inverse, and bond funds based on trend and whether prices look overheated or washed out.
This strategy is a fast-moving market timer built around big tech. It first checks whether the Nasdaq is in a long-term uptrend or downtrend.
If trend is up, it usually buys TQQQ (a turbocharged bet on the Nasdaq). But if the market has run up too fast, it switches to UVXY, which tends to jump when fear spikes.
If trend is down, it looks for a short-term bounce using TECL or SOXL. If no bounce setup appears, it either bets against the Nasdaq with SQQQ or hides in short-term bonds (BSV).
Out-of-sample, this tech-timing strategy beats the S&P 500 on risk-adjusted grounds: ~102%/yr vs ~19%/yr, Sharpe ~1.45 vs ~1.15, Calmar ~2.18. Expect bigger drawdowns (~47%), but amplified upside when tech leads.
