About
A very aggressive market-timing strategy focused on leveraged tech funds. It usually bets on tech, but may switch to a fear trade, a short bet, or short-term bonds when conditions change.
This strategy watches a small group of very aggressive funds tied mostly to big U.S. tech stocks.
It uses TQQQ as its main “market thermometer.” If tech looks healthy, it usually buys TQQQ. If tech looks too overheated, it switches to UVXY, which tends to jump when markets get scary.
If tech looks weak overall, it tries to buy sharp dips in tech or chips (TECL or SOXL). If weakness continues, it either bets against tech with SQQQ or hides in short-term bonds (BSV).
Out-of-sample, this strategy delivers superior risk-adjusted gains vs SPY: Sharpe ~1.45, Calmar ~2.18, and annualized return ~102% vs SPY ~19%. Higher drawdowns accompany the bigger upside—but the upside is compelling.
