About

A daily rules-based system that flips between 2x bull or bear gold‑miner ETFs using a 10‑day ‘heat meter’ and quick momentum checks of big‑tech (QQQ) vs Treasuries (TLT); parks in T‑bills when conditions aren’t favorable.
NutHow it works
Trades one of: NUGT (2x bullish gold‑miner ETF), DUST (2x bearish), or BIL (T‑bills). Uses a 0–100 ‘heat meter’ (RSI) on NUGT over 10 days: >79 → DUST; <30 → NUGT. Otherwise: if QQQ’s 90‑day return > its 70‑day, then use NUGT only if its 75‑day > 70‑day, else BIL. If not, and QQQ’s 35‑day > TLT’s 95‑day, use DUST; else BIL. Rebalanced daily.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: ~112% annualized return with Calmar ~4 vs S&P ~27% annualized. Dynamic 2x gold-miner rotations aim for far higher upside for risk-tolerant investors, with higher volatility and drawdown risk.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
