About
A very aggressive daily trading strategy that swings between a 2x bullish gold-miner fund, a 2x bearish gold-miner fund, and cash-like T-bills based on short-term “too hot/too cold” signals and market trend checks.
This strategy puts all its money in just one of three places each day: a bullish gold-miner fund (NUGT), a bearish gold-miner fund (DUST), or a cash-like Treasury bill fund (BIL).
First it checks whether gold miners have moved too far too fast using RSI, a short-term “hot/cold” meter. If miners look very overheated, it bets against them with DUST. If they look beaten down, it buys them with NUGT.
If neither is true, it looks at recent trends in big tech stocks (QQQ) and long-term bonds (TLT) to decide whether to own NUGT, own DUST, or sit safely in BIL.
Out-of-sample edge: Sharpe 1.87 vs SPY 1.50, beta ~0.02, Calmar 6.06, alpha ~1.42. A leveraged, tactical gold-miner strategy delivering higher risk-adjusted upside and diversification versus the S&P 500.
