About

A crash‑aware, rules‑based strategy that hides in T‑bills, dollar, gold, and hedges when risk is high, and rides tech/semiconductor uptrends with leveraged ETFs (TQQQ/SOXL) when conditions are calm. Flips to inverse funds if things get overheated.
NutHow it works
It’s a rulebook that flips between defense and offense. - Defense if panic or stress: when volatility jumps (VIXM’s RSI = a “hot/cold” score), bonds wobble, or prices slip below trend. It then holds T‑bills/short Treasuries (BIL/SHY), dollar (USDU), gold (GLD), commodities (PDBC), and hedges (BTAL/HDGE/SQQQ). - Offense when calm/up‑trending: it rides tech/semis (QQQ via TQQQ, semis via SOXL). If they get “too hot” (high RSI), it briefly flips to inverse funds (SOXS/SQQQ). Notes: moving average = trend line; drawdown = worst recent drop; stdev = choppiness.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this crash-aware, regime-switching strategy delivers higher risk-adjusted returns with smaller drawdowns vs the S&P 500: Calmar ~2.70 vs SPY, annualized ~33.4% vs 27.6%, Sharpe ~1.63 vs 1.62, max drawdown 12.4% vs 18.8%.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
