An aggressive, rules-based strategy that usually chases tech and semiconductors when conditions look good, but can quickly hide in cash, gold, commodities, the dollar, or bearish funds when markets turn shaky.

This strategy is a fast-moving market “weather system.” It first asks: are markets calm, stressed, or panicking? In calm periods, it often bets hard on tech—especially semiconductor stocks—using extra-aggressive funds. In rough periods, it can flip into cash-like Treasury funds, gold, commodities, a strong U.S. dollar fund, or even funds that rise when stocks or long-term bonds fall. It makes these choices using short-term trend and “stretch” signals. For example, RSI is a speedometer for how overheated or washed out prices have been lately. If tech has surged too far too fast, the strategy may bet against it. If tech has fallen hard and looks washed out, it may try to buy the rebound. It also checks whether bonds, volatility, and inflation-linked bonds are flashing danger signals before taking risk.

Out-of-sample Calmar ~1.45 and Sharpe ~1.25; max drawdown 15.4% vs 18.8% for the S&P. Return ~22.46% (vs 24.63%), but with beta ~0.08 and diversified hedges, offering stronger risk-adjusted resilience and downside protection.
