About

A daily tactical strategy that rotates between the S&P 500, cash-like Treasuries, and defensive hedges based on bond stress and market volatility, using simple strength/trend signals. It sometimes uses leveraged inverse ETFs, so risk can be high.
NutHow it works
Each day it checks 2 things: stress in the bond market and how jumpy stocks are. - If bond stress is high, it splits money across a basket of defensive/hedge funds and a couple of areas showing strength or mean‑reversion. - If bond stress isn’t high: if stock volatility is spiking, it mostly hides in short‑term Treasuries or picks the calmest defensive hedges during a panic. If volatility is normal, it holds the S&P 500—unless bonds have been falling hard, then it parks in short‑term Treasuries. It uses simple gauges of recent price strength (RSI), short‑term trend (EMA), and choppiness (standard deviation). Some funds are leveraged/inverse, so risk can be high.
CheckmarkValue prop
An adaptive daily-rotation strategy delivering superior risk-adjusted performance vs the S&P 500: ~10% max drawdown vs ~20%, Sharpe ~1.42 vs ~1.33, Calmar ~1.60, and negative beta—providing steadier upside with less downside.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
