About

An adaptive, rules-based portfolio. It goes on offense with stock indexes (sometimes 2x/3x) in healthy trends, and quickly defends with Treasuries/cash-like funds, U.S. dollar, gold, defensive/hedge ETFs, and managed-futures when markets turn.
NutHow it works
It splits money across several “sleeves.” First it classifies conditions: Are stocks trending up or down? Are interest rates rising or falling? Is volatility spiking? In good times it owns stock indexes (sometimes with 2x/3x funds). In stress it rotates into short‑term Treasuries/cash-like funds, the U.S. dollar, gold, defensive sectors, or even hedges/shorts. It also runs trend trades in commodities/currencies and holds managed‑futures ETFs for diversification.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: lower drawdown (15.6% vs 18.8%), solid Calmar (~1.04) and positive alpha, with Sharpe ~1.18. Raw return trails the S&P, but the strategy delivers steadier, safer upside and true diversification in volatile regimes.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
