About

A simple switch: when big tech looks overheated, rotate into diversified, defensive assets; otherwise hold an even mix of mega‑cap tech plus staples and safety (bonds, gold, dollar), rebalancing only when weights drift >4%.
NutHow it works
It watches a 10‑day “heat gauge” on QQQ (a fund that tracks big tech‑heavy Nasdaq stocks). If that heat gauge is very high (>75), it shifts into a more diversified/defensive mix (Dow stocks, Europe/Japan funds, bonds, and steady blue chips). If not, it holds an equal mix of big US tech names plus some staples (Coke/Pepsi), a broad US stock fund, and safety assets (Treasuries, gold, US dollar). It only rebalances when a holding drifts by more than 4%.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: Sharpe 1.68 vs 1.33, return 21.56% vs 21.22%, drawdown 12.64% vs 18.76%, Calmar ~1.71. A defensive, diversified rotation lowers tech concentration and seeks steadier, higher risk-adjusted growth.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
