About

When the S&P 500 is in an uptrend, invest in a diversified stock basket sized by stability (50‑day volatility); otherwise sit in short‑term T‑bills (BIL). Checked and rebalanced daily.
NutHow it works
Each day it checks if SPY (an S&P 500 ETF) is above its 200‑day average price (the average closing price over ~10 months). If yes, it spreads money across a set of stocks from many sectors, giving more to steadier names (measured over the last 50 days) and less to jumpier ones. If no, it moves into BIL, a short‑term T‑bill ETF (cash‑like). Rebalanced daily.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample history shows this strategy captures upside in uptrends while protecting capital in downturns, delivering smoother risk-adjusted returns vs the S&P 500 via trend filtering, inverse-vol sizing, and daily rebalancing across sectors.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
