About

Daily, rules‑based swing system centered on tech/semis. Buys 3× bull ETFs on dips when bonds say “risk‑on,” flips to 3× bear ETFs, VXX, or T‑bills when overbought or bonds flash “risk‑off.” Very high risk and very active.
NutHow it works
Each day the strategy asks: Are markets calm (risk‑on) or fragile (risk‑off)? It uses Treasury and credit trends to answer. If risk‑on, it buys 3× tech/semiconductor funds on dips; if overheated or risk‑off, it flips to 3× bear funds, volatility (VXX), or short‑term Treasuries (BIL/SHV/SHY). Weights favor the calmer choice.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample: Sharpe ~0.43, 8.4% annualized return, plus hedges (VXX, 3x bears, Treasuries) to diversify a SPY portfolio and offer upside in risk-on regimes, though it carries higher drawdown than SPY.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
