About

Monthly momentum. If QQQ is in an uptrend (short-term average above long-term), hold the 3 hottest mega-cap tech names. If not, rotate into the 3 strongest sectors via Vanguard ETFs. Equal-weight positions.
NutHow it works
Monthly: Look at QQQ, a tech‑heavy index fund. If its recent average price (last 5 days) is above its long‑term average (200 days), buy the 3 best performers over ~1 month among Microsoft, Apple, Amazon, Alphabet (Google), Meta, NVIDIA, Adobe (and utility PPL). Otherwise, buy the 3 strongest sectors over ~10 months using Vanguard sector ETFs (e.g., Energy, Health Care, Financials, Utilities). Split money evenly.
CheckmarkValue prop
Regime-driven momentum: when tech leads, invest in 3 mega-cap winners; when it doesn't, rotate to the top 3 sectors. Out-of-sample annual return ~34% vs SPY ~22%, Sharpe ~1.33. Higher upside with a simple, rules-based rotation.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
