About

A fast, rules-based trader: it fades overheated markets with a volatility hedge, uses long‑term trend checks to set risk, and rotates among leveraged stock/bond ETFs using short‑term momentum or mean reversion. Very aggressive and tactical.
NutHow it works
First it checks if stocks look overheated using a 0–100 “heat meter” (RSI). If they’re too hot, it briefly buys UVXY, a fund that jumps when markets drop. Else it asks: uptrend or downtrend? In uptrends it rotates among fast‑moving funds (tech, semis, S&P, bonds), choosing the recent winner or the most beaten‑down, based on the last few days. In downtrends it splits: half in a safer asset (long bonds, low‑vol stocks, or the U.S. dollar) and half in either bullish or bearish leveraged funds, guided by short‑term momentum.
CheckmarkValue prop
High‑risk tactical sleeve that diversifies and hedges volatility. Out‑of‑sample returns (~4.5% vs SPY’s ~18.3%) and drawdowns (~80% vs ~19%) are larger—best used as a satellite allocation for risk management, not a core SPY substitute.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
