About

An aggressive rules-based trader: ride tech-led uptrends with 3× ETFs, hedge or short when markets overheat or break, and park in Treasuries/cash or gold in stress. Very high risk and fast swings.
NutHow it works
It watches four things: trend (price vs a long-term average), heat (RSI = a short-term “hot/cold” gauge), bonds (TLT; cash-like SHY/BIL), and fear (VXX/UVXY). If stocks trend up and aren’t overheated, it buys 3× bull ETFs in Nasdaq/tech/semis (TQQQ, TECL, SOXL, UPRO). If trend breaks or gets too hot, it shifts to 3× bears/vol (SQQQ, SOXS, TECS, SPXS, VXX) or to safety (Treasuries TMF/SHY or gold GLD). It also “buys dips/sells rips” on sharp moves.
CheckmarkValue prop
High-upside, risk-aware strategy that rides tech uptrends with hedges and safety bets. In out-of-sample data it targets ~36.6% annualized returns vs ~17.9% for the S&P 500, with Calmar ~0.94; expect larger drawdowns (~39%).

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
