About

Crash‑aware tactical rotation. It watches for “overheated” markets and sharp drops, then flips between a volatility airbag (UVXY), calm carry (SVIX), short or long stock exposure, and cash/Treasuries using RSI, volatility, and interest‑rate cues. Very aggressive and complex.
NutHow it works
Step 1: “Airbag” check. If many stock/sector funds look too hot (RSI≈a 0–100 heat meter; >~80 = very hot), it buys UVXY (a fear gauge) as a crash hedge. Step 2: If tech just plunged, it toggles UVXY vs SVIX (calm). Step 3: Otherwise it reads volatility and rates to rotate among cash/T‑Bills, Treasuries, short index funds, or SPY. Equal‑weights picks. Examples it trades: SPY, TQQQ/SQQQ, SVIX/UVXY, TLT/IEF, SHY/BIL, UUP, GLD.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: 48.3% annualized return vs SPY 41.1% and Calmar 3.63. A crash-aware, volatility-rotating strategy aims for higher risk-adjusted upside and better drawdown protection than passive S&P exposure.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
