About

A daily, rules-based portfolio that tilts into uptrends (especially tech/energy) and quickly rotates to cash/Treasuries/volatility hedges when markets look overheated or shaky. Uses RSI and trend filters; includes leveraged ETFs for offense and defense.
NutHow it works
It’s a daily, rules-based switchboard. It checks simple “heat” gauges (RSI = how fast prices have moved) and trend lines (moving averages). When markets look hot, it hedges with cash, Treasuries, or volatility funds; when trends are healthy or prices look washed‑out, it buys—mainly tech and energy. It can also hold gold, the US dollar, and broad commodities.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, the strategy trims drawdowns (12.3% vs 18.8% for SPY), preserves a near-1 Calmar, and offers solid risk-adjusted return (Sharpe ~0.79) with proactive hedging and a tech/energy tilt—a smoother ride than the S&P 500.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
