About

A simple, single-ETF portfolio that stays invested in PY (Principal Value ETF) for diversified U.S. “value” stock exposure. No market timing; daily rebalance to maintain the position.
NutHow it works
It holds one fund—PY (Principal Value ETF)—and rebalances daily to keep that position; it doesn’t try to time the market. PY owns a diversified basket of U.S. stocks that look inexpensive on fundamentals ('value' stocks). This usually means more financials/industrials/energy and less tech than the broad market. PY is used as a simple, one-stop way to get diversified U.S. value exposure. Cash would only be used if nothing else were available.
CheckmarkValue prop
One-ETF value exposure (PY) with daily rebalance. OOS: ~4.7% annualized return, max drawdown ~17.8% (vs SPY ~18.8%). Lower drawdown and a smaller beta provide ballast in volatility, though long-run upside lags the S&P.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
