About

A multi-layer, levered strategy: Chinese leverage bets (YINN/YANG) when China signals; otherwise Nasdaq dip-buying with hedges; and a dynamic risk-on/risk-off core using UPRO/TMF vs IEI/GLD/TIP/BSV to manage risk. High-risk, levered, signal-driven with no fixed rebalancing.
NutHow it works
The strategy starts by checking China exposure signals via YINN/YANG using FXI over 1- and 5-day windows. If a China trigger fires, it goes long YINN or short YANG. If not, it shifts to a Nasdaq dip-buy setup (QQQ/TQQQ guided with hedges). Within the Nasdaq pathway, a dynamic risk-on/risk-off framework then decides whether to tilt toward high-risk assets (UPRO, TMF) or toward safer assets (IEI, GLD, TIP, BSV) based on SPY drawdown metrics and moving-price signals. No automatic rebalance is specified; positions adjust only when the trigger rules fire. Hedge/position sizes are governed by nested conditional checks and fixed-weight blocks.
CheckmarkValue prop
Signal-driven, multi-asset strategy blending China leverage bets and Nasdaq dip-buying with dynamic risk-on/off hedges. OOS: ~24%/yr vs S&P ~20%, but drawdown higher (~38% vs ~19%). Higher upside, higher risk.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
