About

A simple monthly switch: hold U.S. stocks (SPY) when they’ve beaten long‑term Treasuries (TLT) over ~3 months; otherwise hold Treasuries. Seeks to follow trends and sidestep major stock slumps, but can whipsaw or lose when both assets fall.
NutHow it works
Each month, compare about 3 months of recent performance for two funds: - SPY: tracks large U.S. stocks (the S&P 500). - TLT: holds 20+ year U.S. Treasury bonds. If SPY did better, own SPY 100%. Otherwise, own TLT 100%. No mixing or cash. Recheck monthly.
CheckmarkValue prop
Simple, rule-based SPY/TLT rotation using ~3-month momentum. A transparent, disciplined approach that diversifies stock risk and offers a positive out-of-sample Sharpe vs. SPY.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
