About
A tactical, regime-aware strategy: bet on a volatility spike when markets are extremely hot, buy tech on extreme dips, otherwise ride calm-market trends (short-vol or broad stocks) with a small hedge, or rotate into defensive alternatives when volatility rises.
It checks if US stocks are extremely hot or cold. If very hot, it buys a fund that jumps when market volatility spikes (a short-term shock bet). If very cold, it buys tech for a rebound. Otherwise it asks: is “shorting volatility” trending up? If yes, it leans into that or broad stocks and keeps a small volatility hedge. If not, it rotates into defensive diversifiers (anti‑beta or managed futures) based on recent strength across 5/10/20 days.
Regime-aware, diversified strategy to smooth risk beyond equities. OOS Sharpe ~0.68, beta ~0.31, Calmar ~1.06, with hedges and tech-dip plays. Lower correlation to the S&P seeks steadier, risk-adjusted growth versus the market.
