About

A tactical rules-based ETF strategy: fade overheated markets with UVXY, buy tech on deep dips, and otherwise rotate between short‑vol/stock risk with a volatility hedge or diversifiers (BTAL/DBMF) based on short-term trends.
NutHow it works
Rule 1: If QQQ or SPY is very “hot” by a 10‑day RSI (>80; a short‑term heat gauge), buy UVXY (spikes when market fear rises) to fade euphoria. Rule 2: Else if QQQ is “cold” (RSI<30), buy XLK (tech) for a bounce. Rule 3: Else check SVXY (benefits when fear falls): if price > 21‑day avg, put ~70% in the stronger of SVXY or VTI (broad stocks) and ~30% in VIXM (a mid‑term fear hedge). If not, hold the stronger of BTAL (anti‑beta) or DBMF (managed‑futures). Trades only on signals.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample tested, this rules-based ETF strategy blends volatility hedges with selective tech exposure and diversifiers to diversify risk, dampen drawdowns, and offer compelling risk-adjusted returns versus the S&P 500 in volatile regimes.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
