About

A rules-based, volatility-aware strategy: bet on a volatility spike when markets look overheated, buy tech on sharp dips, else favor short-vol/broad stocks with a volatility hedge—or switch to defensive alternatives when short-vol weakens.
NutHow it works
If QQQ or SPY look extremely “hot” by 10‑day RSI (a short‑term heat gauge), buy UVXY (jumps when fear/volatility rises). If QQQ is very “cold,” buy XLK (tech). Otherwise, if SVXY (short‑vol) is above its 21‑day average, put 70% in the stronger of SVXY or VTI (US stocks) and 30% in VIXM (vol hedge). If SVXY is weak, own the stronger of BTAL (defensive, market‑neutral) or DBMF (managed futures).
CheckmarkValue prop
Volatility-aware, adaptive strategy with positive OOS risk-adjusted performance (Calmar 1.79, Sharpe 1.20) and low beta (~0.17). Diversifies via vol hedges and alternatives to temper drawdowns and aim for steadier growth vs. S&P.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
