About

A daily “risk-on/risk-off” strategy that makes aggressive bets when markets look calm and risk-friendly, but rotates into a diversified hedge basket when those signals weaken.
NutHow it works
This strategy checks several “market mood” signals every day using retail stocks, junk bonds, pharma, and broad stock indexes. When those signals suggest investors are comfortable taking risk, it buys aggressive positions like SVXY (a bet that market fear stays low) or growth/cyclical sectors like chips and homebuilders. When the signals look worse, it switches that portion into a mixed safety basket: gold, volatility protection, anti-risk stocks, convertibles, and a yen trade.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this strategy shows smaller drawdowns and a better risk-adjusted profile than the S&P 500, while delivering diversification through hedges and selective risk-on bets when signals align.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
